For Summer 2010, the Museum of Ixelles will be delving deep into its collections in order to present a broad selection of photographic works from 1970 to the present.
Lucien Clergue, Alain Chabeau, Jean Coquelet, Gilbert De Keyser, Gilbert Fastenaekens, Felten-Massinger, Michel François, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Robert Morian, Stephen Neil Sack, Daniel Storz, Marc Trivier… so many names, whose prints will adorn our walls.

Recent acquisitions of contemporary art will also grace the gallery: Stefan Balleux, Dirk Braekman, Jean-Luc Moerman, Jacques Guilmot, Philippe Vindal, Nic Joosen, Hans Op de Beeck, Aline Perier…

This exhibition will coincide with the Summer of Photography, a Brussels festival celebrating photography. It will also link with the Flagey Summer Festival which gathers together a range of cultural activities, including exhibitions. Linking the exhibition with these two events provides invaluable marketing opportunities with the general public.

In exhibiting contemporary work, the Museum of Ixelles seeks to attract a dynamic public interested in conceptual art, as well as its regular visitors. In addition, the summer will also bring families to the Museum.

For this occasion, the Museum of Ixelles will publish a small magazine presenting the exhibited works.

Activities taking place during our temporary exhibitions are exclusively reserved to our members, including guided visits, conferences, concerts…
